Discover two elegant single-vineyard wines from South Africa. The 2021 Sieraad Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the cooler lower Helderberg region, delivers bright raspberry notes, soft tannins, and a distinct pyridine perfume, thanks to its sandstone-rich soil. Perfectly enjoyable now, it will continue to mature until 2030.

The Sieraad Syrah, from the ancient soils of Table Mountain, offers a vibrant deep ruby hue with aromas of white pepper and dark fruit. Velvety tannins create a balanced yet bold finish. Ready to drink now, it will age beautifully through 2030.

Cabernet - The vines were planted on Tables Mountain Sandstone with coffee stone present which gives very good drainage to the soil. Thine wine’s colour is a vivacious deep ruby red from the small berries. It has very typical Cabernet Sauvignon characters with floral undertones of violets. Very typical Helderberg characters. The wine has soft tannins that linger on the palate. Ready to drink now and through to 2032.

Syrah - The vines were planted on Table Mountain Sandstone with coffee stone present. The wine’s colour is a vivacious deep ruby red from the small berries. It has a great white peppery character on the nose with soft tannins lingering on the palate. Ready to drink now and through to 2030.

Cabernet - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Appellation Wine of Origin is in the Heidelberg region of Stellenbosch. The age of vines for the Cabernet is 17 years old where drip irrigation is used for supplementary watering.

Syrah - 100% Syrah. Our Appellation Wine of Origin is in the Helderberg region of Stellenbosch. The age of vines for the Syrah is 19 years where drip irrigation is used.

Harvesting Period
In both wines, the grapes are hand-picked at the beginning of March. The season was cool and had very little rainfall which led to smaller berries with concentrated flavours.

The Process
We work closely with growers in the lower Heidelberg region of Stellenbosch from where we source our grapes. Our grapes enjoy a slightly cooler climate than other Stellenbosch regions due to the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean and its ocean breezes. The grapes are all handpicked and fermented in open concrete fermenters which allows for optimal color extraction and soft handling of the grapes.

Maturation:
Sieraad wines are considered premium quality due to the aging of 24 months in the French barrique and 24 months in the bottle.
